Job Description/Overview:
Cummins Inc. is hiring a Mechanical Technician for their Townsville branch. This role focuses on heavy vehicle repairs and maintenance, with opportunities to work on automotive, mining, and power generation equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide first-class service for heavy diesel equipment and vehicles
– Perform repairs and maintenance, including engine rebuilding and reconditioning
– Inspect and replace components as needed
– Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures
– Complete documentation such as service worksheets, timesheets, and warranty claims
Qualifications needed:
– Mechanical trades qualification in Heavy Diesel or Automotive Mechanic
– Experience with heavy or light diesel products, preferably Cummins engines
– Engine rebuild and reconditioning experience is highly desirable
Experience:
– Previous experience in a similar technician role
Skills:
– Strong diagnostic and IT skills
– Automotive industry experience is a plus but not essential
