Job Details:
We are currently seeking a new team member to join our journey. The position requires shift rotation (days/afternoons) and involves scheduled maintenance tasks on plant, machinery, and buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
– Undertake scheduled maintenance tasks on plant, machinery, and buildings
– Assist with the development and implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance programs
– Carry out quality inspections as required
– Check and calibrate instruments to ensure accuracy
– Ensure equipment performs as required without food safety or quality risks
– Overhaul, service, or repair equipment (including electrical, instrument, automated, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic as required) within held qualifications
– Assist with arranging replacement machinery or equipment when faults cannot be fixed on-site
– Communicate issues effectively to maintenance management and production managers
– Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services
– Keep accurate records of work undertaken
– Provide immediate response to plant or machinery breakdowns
– Find and fix faults in a timely manner
– Re-calibrate instruments as required
Qualifications Needed:
– A formal electrical trade and a current electrical practicing license
Experience:
– Experience within the food manufacturing industry
– Previous installation and maintenance experience of industrial electrical equipment and components
– Ability to understand electrical drawings and manuals
– Practical understanding of documentation requirements
– Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
– Computer literate including Microsoft Office applications
Skills:
– Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Skills (Desirable):
– Mechanical trade or experience
– Experience with checkweighers, metal detectors, packaging machines, and other complex equipment
– Experience and knowledge of instrumentation
– PLC and automation experience
– Experience with root cause analysis and other problem-solving exercises such as FMEA
– Knowledge of Maintenance Best Practices
Salary/Compensation:
– After 3 months of continuous employment, the employee is entitled to company-provided Southern Cross health insurance
