Job Description/Overview:
The Data Systems Analyst 4 (DSA4) plays a strategic role in developing and managing a research technology environment within the UC Davis Health IT Division, partnering with the School of Medicine and the Clinical and Translational Science Center. The position is responsible for database development, data mart architecture, and integration to support business and research projects, both at UC Davis and on a national scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Senior Database / Data Mart Architect (40%)
Application, Software, and System Analysis and Development (30%)
Database Administration (20%)
Project Management (10%)
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree required
Advanced knowledge in programming languages like SQL, MySQL, and Python
Familiarity with ETL processes, electronic health records (e.g., EPIC), and standardized healthcare codes (ICD, SNOMED, etc.)
Strong skills in secure file sharing and data management within clinical systems
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in clinical data management within healthcare systems
Minimum 3 years supporting clinical systems (Clinical Trials, Biorepositories, etc.)
Minimum 4 years in database management and application development
Skills:
Advanced database design and data modeling
Data analytics and business intelligence proficiency
Strong organizational and communication abilities
