Job Description/Overview:
The Shelbourne is Dublin’s prestigious five-star property, located in the heart of St. Stephen’s Green. We’re looking for a Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness of guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel facilities, ensuring quality standards are met. This position requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, pool, etc., to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.
Run sold room reports and verify room status; prioritize cleaning tasks.
Coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments.
Resolve issues with discrepant rooms and update room assignments.
Assist management with hiring, training, and coaching staff.
Ensure safety, security, and quality standards are adhered to.
Handle guest requests and issues promptly and professionally.
Perform administrative duties, such as documenting incidents and completing paperwork.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
Supervisory experience is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a housekeeping or related role.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage a team and resolve conflicts.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to lift, carry, and manipulate objects up to 55 pounds.
Ability to work in various physical environments (standing, walking, bending).
