Job Description/Overview:
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Patient Care Assistant performs basic nursing care according to established hospital policies and procedures. This role involves working in a collaborative environment to support patient care in a full-service facility known for its comprehensive medical services.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide basic nursing care to patients as directed by the RN.
Assist with daily living activities for patients.
Monitor and document patient status and report any changes to the nursing staff.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Support the nursing team in providing high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 months recent acute care experience as a hospital attendant.
Graduate of an accredited Certified Nurse Assistant Program.
Experience:
Preferred: 1-2 years of experience in a related field, with a minimum of 1 year in acute care.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
