Position: Registered Practical Nurse (R.P.N.)

Job Description/Overview:
The Registered Practical Nurse will provide nursing services within their defined scope of practice to patients. Responsibilities include administering medications, conducting specimen collections, and providing preoperative and postoperative care.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer medications
Apply aseptic techniques, including sterile dressing
Conduct specimen collection and ensure infection control
Monitor nutritional intake and take vital signs
Observe and record medication’s therapeutic and side effects
Prepare patients for surgery and assist surgical teams
Clean and sterilise the operating room and instruments
Provide pre-operative and post-operative personal care
Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy
Educate patients and families on safety and health
Qualifications:
Completion of College/CEGEP
Experience:
1 to less than 7 months
Skills:
Ability to monitor patients’ progress
Consult with appropriate healthcare team members
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
