We’re seeking a Director of International Students to lead our growing international student programme and ensure it aligns with our vision and strategic goals.
About the Role
The Director of International Students will lead and develop an exemplary international student programme that attracts quality students to Wakatipu High School. This role involves strategic planning, programme management, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, while ensuring international students thrive within our school’s holistic education environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic, annual, and marketing plans to support the growth and success of the international student programme.
- Manage operational aspects of the programme, including systems, planning, and accurate administration.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with agents, parents, homestays, staff, and students.
- Supervise staff and provide leadership for the programme team.
- Represent Wakatipu High School internationally, with travel required as part of the role.
- Be available outside regular hours when necessary to meet programme needs.
Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
- Have strategic experience, particularly in developing and implementing plans for growth and improvement.
- Be a strong and experienced manager with excellent organisation and systems skills.
- Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders.
- Have a background in international education or relevant knowledge in the field.
- Hold a tertiary qualification or equivalent experience relevant to the role.
