Job Description/Overview:
Spire Wellesley Hospital is seeking Healthcare Assistants to join their dynamic and experienced Outpatients team. This role offers the opportunity to develop clinical skills across various specialisms in a modern and supportive private hospital environment. Spire Wellesley provides comprehensive services in a relaxed setting, with 3 state-of-the-art theatres, an endoscopy unit, and a 33-bedded surgical ward handling specialities such as Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Vascular, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Nurses in performing nursing tasks such as personal hygiene, feeding, and mobility.
Assist in assessing patients’ health and well-being across diverse caseloads.
Maintain patient comfort, privacy, and dignity at all times.
Qualifications:
Desirable: NVQ Health Awards Level 3, NVQ Direct Care Level 2, or equivalent experience. Evidence of continuing professional development.
Experience:
Essential:
Experience in planning work and acting on own initiative.
Patient/customer-facing experience.
Working as part of a team.
Skills and Knowledge:
Essential:
Awareness of health safety, hygiene, and infection control.
Possess mandatory training requirements, including infection control and health and safety competencies.
Competent in Equipment and Medical Devices usage.
Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
English language skills to IELTS 7.0.
Additional Information:
Role involves ad hoc shifts to cover business needs, including busy periods, sickness, or annual leave.
Enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
