Job Description/Overview
The Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor ensures the quality and cleanliness of guest rooms, public areas, and other facilities. This role involves inspecting work performed by housekeeping staff, coordinating with other departments, and supporting housekeeping management in daily operations to maintain Marriott International’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and pools after cleaning to ensure quality standards.
Run sold room reports, verify room status, and prioritize cleaning tasks.
Coordinate with the Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments.
Document and resolve discrepancies with room status in collaboration with the Front Desk.
Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating housekeeping staff.
Uphold safety and security policies, report maintenance problems, and complete safety training.
Maintain professionalism in uniform, appearance, and interactions with guests.
Communicate effectively with team members and management.
Support guests’ needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and operating housekeeping equipment.
Complete administrative tasks and follow up on outstanding issues.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.
Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks.
