About the Role
We are seeking an Events Operation Executive to join the team at the Brisbane Marriott Hotel. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing events, both internal and social, ensuring that Marriott’s high standards of service are maintained. You will work closely with clients, colleagues, and the sales team to deliver exceptional event experiences, building strong client relationships and maximizing business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Cross-sell and upsell hotel facilities and services to clients.
- Ensure accurate billing and coordination of credit facilities where required.
- Collaborate with the group coordinator to finalize contracts and ensure accuracy.
- Ensure event service standards are maintained for various functions.
- Liaise with the Banquet Manager and operations teams to ensure smooth event execution.
- Manage Banquet Event Orders (BEO), ensuring details are tailored to client needs.
- Meet with clients on event days and remain accessible for communication.
- Handle event arrangements and exceed guest expectations.
- Collaborate with the sales team to maximize business leads and strengthen client relationships.
- Oversee event logistics, including room setup, table arrangements, and catering.
- Ensure administrative duties are completed in a timely and professional manner.
- Attend departmental and hotel meetings, keeping up with event-related information.
- Adhere to Marriott’s health and safety regulations and ensure guest and staff safety.
What You Bring
- Strong experience in event coordination, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Marriott Rewards and company policies.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to collaborate with teams and departments to deliver service excellence.
