Job Description
J10 Consulting is seeking a Electrical Inspector for a renowned Multi-National Project Management Consultancy based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as an Electrical Inspector on new build retail, commercial, and mixed-use projects within the UAE. Experience with a recognized design or engineering consultancy is preferred.
This is an immediate start, fixed-term contract position, and the successful candidate will be outsourced through J10 Consulting for an initial period of 6-8 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection & Compliance:
- Attend to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by contractors and ensure timely actions are taken.
- Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings, specifications, local codes, and international best practices.
- Report any discrepancies and non-compliance with approved drawings and specifications to stakeholders for corrective action.
- Quality & Safety Monitoring:
- Monitor the quality of work and assess safety standards, including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual and QCS specifications, as well as safety and risk assessments.
- Maintain records of daily activities, including progress photos, for inspection as needed.
- Reporting & Coordination:
- Prepare surveillance and non-conformance reports (NCR) for any deficiencies or issues on-site.
- Ensure effective coordination between electrical work and other disciplines.
- Provide technical input and assistance to resolve any discipline-related issues on-site.
Requirements
- Education & Experience:
- Engineering degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 3-5+ years of experience in construction supervision for retail, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
- Previous experience with a recognized design consultant or PMC company.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction specifications.
- Thorough understanding of construction processes related to electrical work.
Salary
- AED 6,000 to 8,000 per month (inclusive of fixed allowances).
