Position Overview
Ferrero’s Fannie May Warehouse in Maple Heights, OH, is seeking a Material Handler to ensure the proper flow of materials and help prepare the staging areas for production. This role involves coordinating materials according to the production schedule and maintaining accurate inventory levels. The material handler will also use SAP to manage inventory and work closely with area managers to ensure the lines are properly stocked.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform SAP system entries to maintain warehouse inventory.
- Stage materials for production according to Bills of Materials (BOM), ensuring proper quantities are available.
- Work closely with area managers to ensure all production lines have the required materials.
- Transfer materials between appropriate warehouses and stages.
- Use electric and manual pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks.
- Maintain accuracy of all documentation (e.g., sort tags, back flush tags).
- Perform forklift and pallet jack safety checks before use.
- Ensure timely and accurate attendance according to company guidelines.
- Uphold food safety and quality systems at all times.
Qualifications
- Education or Experience: 1 to 2 years of related experience. Ability to understand Bills of Lading and perform simple arithmetic.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods.
- Certifications: Forklift and electric pallet jack certifications (or ability to obtain one).
- Computer Skills: Basic understanding of computer systems for entering receipt and transfer information.
