About the Role

As a Front Office Agent at The Star Sydney, you will be the face of the hotel, providing exceptional customer service at the heart of our operations. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth check-ins and check-outs, assisting with guest bookings, handling payments, and resolving customer service inquiries with diplomacy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by promptly and courteously responding to guest requests during check-in, check-out, and throughout their stay.
  • Manage guest reservations and inquiries via phone and email in a timely manner.
  • Ensure a high level of professionalism and compliance with company policies regarding guest confidentiality.
  • Handle payments and issue room keys to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Process credit and cash transactions and ensure relevant charges are applied to guest accounts.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Extensive guest service experience in Front Office/Guest Services in a 5-star hotel environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with hotel check-in systems (Opera experience is highly regarded).
  • Languages: Ability to speak a second language is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Presentation: High standards of grooming and presentation.
  • Local Knowledge: Sound knowledge of the local area and its surroundings.
