Job Description/Overview
Cardiff University is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the School of History, Archaeology & Religion as an Administrator. This role involves providing administrative support and guidance for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, assisting with routine tasks and key duties to meet operational and customer service needs. The role is part of the School’s professional services team and will work closely with various staff, including the Education Manager and academic staff.
Key Responsibilities
Handle enquiries from internal and external customers professionally.
Provide administrative support, including enrolment, coursework and exam processing, maintaining student records, and managing program/module information.
Use the University Student Records System to maintain accurate student data.
Contribute to the development and improvement of current processes and procedures.
Attend and represent the School at meetings and events.
Ensure confidentiality is maintained across all duties.
Provide assistance with a range of administrative duties related to exams, coursework, and student services.
Qualifications
Ability to perform a variety of administrative tasks, including clear and concise writing.
Experience working in an administrative or office environment.
Proficiency in MS Office and email communication.
Ability to maintain standard administrative systems and procedures.
Strong communication skills, adapting language based on the audience.
Ability to manage own workload within timelines and show initiative in problem-solving.
Experience
Experience working in an administrative or office role.
