Position Overview
Ferrero’s Fannie May facility in Northlake, IL, is looking for an experienced Forklift Driver to join their team. This role involves operating forklifts and other machinery to move materials throughout the facility, including in a freezer environment. The successful candidate will ensure that all products are moved and handled accurately and efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, stand forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Ensure proper quality standards are maintained, including accurate labeling and selection of products.
- Move materials to the correct departments as needed.
- Follow safety guidelines and adhere to safety procedures at all times.
- Perform line sanitation duties and ensure proper clean-up at the end of shifts.
- Participate in ongoing training to improve skills and knowledge.
- Maintain an organized and safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment.
- Skills: Basic arithmetic and the ability to read instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods. Must be able to work in a cold environment (45°F).
- Technical Skills: Basic computer entry skills for inventory control.
