Job Description/ Overview
North Bristol NHS Trust seeks compassionate individuals to join the Medicine Division in various settings, such as the Acute Medical Unit, Respiratory, Infectious Diseases, Complex Care, and Care of the Elderly.
This role is ideal for candidates new to care, as well as experienced healthcare workers seeking new opportunities. Full training and development opportunities are available for successful candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Provide essential nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including:
Assisting patients with mobility, hygiene, and feeding.
Monitoring vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, pulse, glucose levels).
Collecting and testing samples (urine, faecal, sputum).
Maintain patient dignity and privacy while delivering compassionate care.
Accurately document care provided and escalate concerns to clinical staff.
Support infection control policies and maintain the clinical environment.
Encourage self-care and independence in patients.
Qualifications
Essential:
Level 2 NVQ/QCF Diploma in Healthcare or willingness to train.
Ability to work in a team and manage time effectively.
Desirable:
Level 3 NVQ/BTEC National Diploma.
GCSEs (A*-D) in English and Mathematics or equivalent.
Prior experience in healthcare or social care settings.
Skills Required
Effective communication (written and verbal).
Basic IT and administrative skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Salary and Benefits
£23,615 per annum (pro-rata for part-time roles).
Flexible working hours: Full-time (37.5 hours) or part-time.
