Job Description:
Gulf Investment House is seeking an experienced Head of Investment to lead and shape the investment strategy of the organization. This pivotal role involves overseeing the investment portfolio, including direct investments, share trading, and real estate. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the investment sector and be a strategic leader, ensuring that investment objectives are met while adhering to regulatory standards and risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the overall investment strategy aligned with the company’s goals.
- Lead the Direct Investment, Share Trading & Real Estate division, focusing on company start-ups, acquisitions, participations, M&A, divestitures, listings, valuations, and restructuring.
- Oversee the management of the investment portfolio, ensuring optimal asset allocation and risk management.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new investment opportunities.
- Lead and mentor a team of investment professionals, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Prepare and present investment reports and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, internal policies, and ethical investment practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, such as investment banks and financial institutions.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of investments, making adjustments as necessary.
- Stay updated on market trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes impacting investments.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure investment strategies align with the company’s overall business objectives.
Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience: 7+ years in investment management, with expertise in securities, funds, and real estate investments.
- Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Additional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, or ACCA are highly preferred.
- Skills:
- Expertise in portfolio management, asset allocation, and investment valuation.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and risk assessment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of financial markets, investment vehicles, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strategic thinking.
- Ability to leverage technology for investment analysis.
- Knowledge of market trends and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
Preferred Candidate:
- Nationality: Kuwaiti (Preference)
- Experience: 8-10 years in the financial sector, particularly in investment management.
- Residence Location: Kuwait
- Additional Qualifications: CFA, CPA, or ACCA
