Job Description/Overview:
The In-Home Caregiver will assist individuals with daily activities, provide emotional and physical support, and ensure a safe, organized environment. The role also involves collaborating with professionals and managing behavior plans while adhering to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily activities, including lifting and transferring.
Administer medications and document appropriately.
Collaborate with social workers and develop behavior management plans.
Prepare meals and meet dietary needs.
Support individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the environment.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
Familiarity with medication administration protocols and behavior management strategies.
Previous caregiving or personal assistant experience preferred.
Knowledge of autism and developmental disabilities is a plus.
Experience:
Experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
Skills:
Compassionate and patient.
Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
Salary:
$15.00 – $17.00 per hour (median $16.00 per hour).
