Job Description/Overview:

Join a large council in Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs as a Customer Service Officer. This temporary role provides an opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service and administrative support to the community, contributing to the efficient operations of the council’s call center.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Provide accurate and timely information to the public via telephone and email.

 

Maintain a positive image of the council through professional service and personal presentation.

 

Deliver high-quality service in a high-volume call center environment, meeting required Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

 

Undertake frontline call center and cashiering/administrative tasks.

 

Qualifications:

 

Fluency in a language other than English is an advantage.

 

Experience:

 

Proven experience in face-to-face and high-volume telephone customer service roles.

 

Prior experience in a call center environment, including the use of customer management or request tracking systems.

 

Strong administrative skills with a focus on customer service and teamwork.

 

Skills:

 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Positive and proactive work attitude.

 

Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment.

 

Additional Information:

 

Start Date: January 13, 2025.

 

Duration: 3-month contract with full-time hours.

 

Police Check: Required before commencing the role.
