Job Description/Overview:
The Administrative Assistant III with Writing Emphasis provides clerical and secretarial support to the Bishop and other Diocesan personnel. The role emphasizes letter writing, including condolence, congratulatory, and thank-you letters, and refining correspondence for the Curia on behalf of the Bishop. Tasks range from using templates to crafting original responses.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, proofread, and revise correspondence for the Bishop and Diocesan personnel.
Provide writing and editing support for the Curia.
Perform general clerical and secretarial duties.
Anticipate and respond to the needs of the Bishop.
Maintain strict confidentiality in all communications and tasks.
Represent the Diocese with professionalism and reflect Catholic teachings.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing.
Minimum of five years of experience in executive office roles.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
High proficiency in drafting, proofreading, editing, and revising written materials.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, and Internet tools.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
Strong interpersonal and listening skills to engage with individuals at all levels.
Experience:
Proven ability to write high-quality correspondence and handle administrative tasks.
Salary Range:
$37,000 – $49,000 per year (Glassdoor Estimate).
