Job Description/Overview:
BIRD LOGISTICS LTD. is looking for a full-time Truck Driver to join their team. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary with flexible working hours. The role includes driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods, performing inspections, and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
Key Responsibilities:
Arrange travel, itineraries, and make reservations
Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
Load and unload goods
Obtain permits and documents for international routes
Operate and drive flatbed trucks to transport goods
Oversee vehicle condition and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, etc.
Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
Ensure cargo is secured and tarped
Supervise other truck drivers
Qualifications:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
AZ class license
Air Brakes Endorsement
Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
Experience:
1 to less than 7 months
Skills:
Knowledge of Bill of lading, driver logbooks, inspection reports
Experience with flatbed trucks
Proficient in using CB radios, GPS, and other navigation equipment
Ability to handle up to 23 kg (50 lbs) of weight
