Job Description/Overview:
Dirigo Safety, LLC, a leading provider of law enforcement training, consultation, and risk management solutions, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Office Assistant to support the Personnel Operations Manager. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of administrative tasks and contributes to the company’s mission of enhancing safety and professionalism in law enforcement and commercial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Organize and maintain the office environment to optimize efficiency.
Perform receptionist duties, including greeting guests, maintaining common areas, and handling mail and inventory.
Assist the Personnel Operations Manager with tasks such as:
Maintaining employee/contractor files.
Updating handbooks, policies, and procedures.
Scheduling and planning meetings and appointments.
Managing office inventory and supplies.
Assisting with payroll backups.
Support marketing efforts by creating materials, scheduling emails via MailChimp, and coordinating events.
Assist with Risk Management Solutions (RMS) by scheduling meetings, maintaining databases, and planning vendor shows.
Coordinate training sessions, including classroom setup, participant materials, and catering.
Compile reports and participate in day-to-day office activities such as data entry, answering phones, and taking meeting minutes.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an office or administrative assistant.
Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe, SurveyMonkey, and Canva.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Customer service experience (preferred).
Ability to pass a background check.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay: $23.00–$25.00 per hour.

Flexible schedule (requires early arrival on training days).
One day per week work-from-home option.
Health and dental insurance (80/20).

2 weeks of PTO and Maine state holidays.
Schedule:
8-hour shifts (Day shift).
In-office work is required; relocation to Auburn, ME, before starting is mandatory.
