Job Description/Overview
The Administrative and Events Associate supports the Common Spaces department by managing space reservations, handling administrative tasks, and providing event support. This role includes overseeing multiple campus spaces, coordinating schedules, managing inventory, and responding to inquiries while maintaining a proactive, customer-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Process and manage space requests for the Smith Campus Center and other locations.
Post and update daily schedules and event signage.
Respond promptly to phone and email inquiries, triaging them as needed.
Assist with social media and communications tasks.
Coordinate financial processes, including vendor payments and inventory tracking.
Support events by coordinating setups, timelines, and vendor interactions.
Qualifications
High school diploma with at least three years of experience in event scheduling, administrative work, or related fields.
Education beyond high school may count towards experience.
Experience
Experience in education or hospitality settings preferred.
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Comfort with financial and administrative tasks.
