Overview
Mind Tools Ltd is looking for a talented Content Writer to join our award-winning Learning Experience Team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with our Learning Experience Designers to create engaging, concise, and impactful content that helps learners develop new skills. You’ll be writing for courses, animation scripts, infographics, and assessments, with a focus on delivering clear and engaging copy that captures attention and drives learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Write engaging courses, animation scripts, infographics, and assessments in collaboration with the team.
- Tone & Structure: Ensure content aligns with clients’ tone-of-voice guidelines and structure it to meet client and learner needs.
- Clear Communication: Write clear, concise instructions and avoid ambiguity.
- Collaboration: Review and proofread colleagues’ work, providing feedback and making recommendations for improvements.
- External Collaboration: Work with external talent like writers, animators, designers, and videographers to develop resources.
- Organize Work: Use tools like Microsoft 365, Asana, and Miro to manage workload and collaborate effectively.
- Marketing & Tenders: Support marketing copy and tenders when required.
- Interactive Content: Build interactive activities using e-learning authoring tools (training will be provided).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Exceptional Writing: High standard of written English with the ability to adapt writing to the medium and audience.
- Research Skills: Excellent ability to research and present ideas concisely.
- Creative Flair: Strong creativity with the ability to think and write clearly.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and solve challenges as they arise.
- IT Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other collaboration tools like Asana and Miro.
- Team Player: Strong collaboration skills and the ability to manage workload and deadlines effectively.
Preferred Experience
- Learning Technology Industry: Experience in the learning technology industry or a similar field.
- Authoring Tools: Experience with Evolve authoring tool or similar platforms like WordPress.
- Audio/Video Content: Experience in creating audio and/or video content for the web.
