About the Role
Echelon Group is seeking a Head of Product and Commercialisation to join Winseed International’s Executive team. This is a newly created role that will lead the strategic direction and oversee the full product lifecycle, from development and concept to successful commercialisation. You will act as the key liaison between breeding and research, sales and business development, supply chain, and logistics.
In this role, you will be responsible for guiding product development initiatives, driving the commercialisation process, and ensuring that products meet market demand. You will report directly to the Managing Director and play an instrumental role in ensuring that Winseed’s innovative vegetable seed varieties provide real value to global health and nutrition.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy for product development, concept creation, and commercialisation across the organisation.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle, ensuring successful market introduction and growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research, sales, business development, and supply chain, to ensure product success.
- Drive the commercialisation of new seed varieties with a focus on health and nutrition.
- Develop clear, actionable plans based on research, demand analysis, and market insights.
- Present to the Executive team and ensure alignment on product strategies and outcomes.
Skills & Experience
- Strong background in product development and management, preferably within the horticultural or agricultural sector.
- Proven success in taking products to market and delivering commercial outcomes.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and actionable strategies.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to balance innovation with commercial viability.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and understanding market-driven demands.
