Assistant Social Media Manager

Position Summary:

W Dubai – The Palm is seeking an Assistant Social Media Manager to join our Sales & Marketing team. This role involves managing all aspects of social media strategy, digital marketing, and content creation to enhance the brand’s presence and engagement across platforms. You will work closely with the Director of Marketing (DOM), F&B, and operational teams to implement innovative campaigns that align with the resort’s marketing objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Management:

  • Manage all social media channels, ensuring adherence to W Hotels’ brand guidelines and tone of voice.
  • Develop and execute an annual Social Media Marketing Strategy to support resort marketing goals.
  • Create and manage targeted strategies for F&B, rooms, and spa services to drive engagement and revenue.
  • Proactively monitor social media performance and online reputation, initiating activities to enhance community engagement.
  • Regularly update the hotel and F&B websites with fresh, relevant content.
  • Oversee monthly newsletters and email campaigns to the customer database.

F&B Support:

  • Collaborate with F&B Outlet Managers to source and promote engaging content for dining experiences.
  • Support the DOM in developing a tactical F&B calendar and maintaining a strong online presence.
  • Monitor competitor activities and trends to ensure the resort’s offerings remain competitive and innovative.
  • Assist in optimizing online conversions for F&B outlets to meet revenue targets.

Administration:

  • Manage time and attendance records.
  • Maintain organized records of invoices, barter agreements, and contracts.
  • Prepare monthly reports for marketing, social media, and digital activities.

Teamwork and Event Support:

  • Assist in executing digital marketing campaigns to meet deadlines.
  • Drive database development for F&B, spa, recreation, and rooms teams.
  • Provide social media coverage for F&B and PR events, ensuring engaging and timely content.
  • Offer support to team members with digital or online-related tasks and inquiries.

Profile Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and community management.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality or service-related industry, particularly F&B.
  • Marketing experience is a plus.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English, with excellent communication and creative copywriting skills.
  • Passionate about photography and video content creation.
  • Ability to multitask and collaborate with multiple teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an innovative mindset to engage audiences effectively.
