We’re looking for a visionary Director of Marketing to bridge our marketing efforts with e-commerce strategies, ensuring a cohesive and innovative approach to customer engagement. This cross-functional role is ideal for a skilled marketing executive who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Position Summary

As Director of Marketing, you’ll lead a talented team and drive the integration of marketing initiatives with e-commerce strategies. Reporting to the President, you will oversee the development and execution of comprehensive marketing campaigns, optimize our online presence, and ensure a seamless customer experience across all channels.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Lead and support the Marketing and E-commerce teams, including Web Design, UI/UX, Marketing staff, and external agencies.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and create training plans for team members.
  • Develop succession plans to ensure long-term team success.

Integrated Marketing and E-commerce Strategy

  • Collaborate with sales teams, managers, and customers to create and execute cohesive marketing and e-commerce strategies.
  • Manage marketing campaigns, content creation, and promotional activities across all platforms.
  • Maintain a detailed content calendar to align marketing and e-commerce efforts.
  • Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities, particularly in the digital space.

E-commerce Management

  • Lead the optimization of Turkstra’s online store, ensuring a customer-centric experience.
  • Oversee SEO, SEM, and analytics to maximize website performance.
  • Manage relationships with agencies and technology partners to enhance online sales capabilities.
  • Use A/B testing and analytics to inform and refine e-commerce strategies.

Communication and Brand Management

  • Develop and execute internal communication plans, including newsletters and announcements.
  • Manage customer communications (emails, SMS, and surveys) to enhance relationships and gather insights.
  • Strengthen Turkstra’s brand through public relations strategies and ensure compliance with marketing regulations.

Financial and Performance Oversight

  • Oversee annual marketing and e-commerce budgets, including P&L management.
  • Establish KPIs for marketing and e-commerce teams, ensuring performance targets are met.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, evaluate campaign results, and make data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in senior marketing and e-commerce roles, with a proven track record of success.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency with Shopify Plus, Klaviyo, SEO, email marketing, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
  • Creative Vision: Expertise in content creation and branding, with knowledge of design software and CMS platforms.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the building and supply industry is a strong asset.
  • Compliance Awareness: Knowledge of CASL and data privacy regulations.
