Position Overview
More Perfect Union is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Fellow to join our team. The Fellow will play a key role in growing and engaging our audience, focusing on Facebook and Instagram. This role involves content creation, graphic design, and community management while contributing to the overall social media strategy.

Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Develop and curate engaging posts, stories, memes, reels, and other content for Facebook to drive engagement and growth.
- Graphic Design: Design high-quality visual assets for Facebook, including static images, memes, and reels, using tools like Canva or Adobe Suite.
- Instagram Collaboration: Work with the Instagram team to create platform-specific content while ensuring consistency across platforms.
- Strategy Development: Assist in crafting and executing social media strategies for Facebook and Instagram to align with organizational goals.
- Trend Monitoring: Research and stay updated on social media trends, current events, and best practices to produce innovative content.
- Community Management: Monitor and respond to messages on Facebook Messenger in a professional and timely manner to foster audience engagement.
Qualifications
- Passion for national politics and economic justice issues, with substantial knowledge in these areas.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) and experience creating social media graphics.
- Strong understanding of Facebook and Instagram platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage with online audiences empathetically and professionally.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Creativity, adaptability, and eagerness to stay ahead of social media trends.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
