Job Description/Overview:
Spire Wellesley Hospital is seeking dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our Outpatients team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop clinical skills in a supportive and modern environment. Our hospital offers a range of private healthcare services across various specialties, including Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Vascular, Plastics, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Spinal, Urology, and ENT.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist nurses with basic patient care, including personal hygiene, feeding, and mobility support.
Provide support during various surgical procedures by ensuring patient comfort, privacy, and dignity.
Monitor and assess patients’ health and well-being in a dynamic environment.
Follow health and safety protocols, infection control measures, and equipment usage guidelines.
Collaborate with the clinical team to maintain high standards of care.
Who We Are Looking For:
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 in Health Awards, NVQ Direct Care Level 2, or equivalent experience (desirable).
Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Experience:
Experience in a patient-facing role and working as part of a team.
Ability to plan and act independently in a clinical setting.
Knowledge and Skills:
Awareness of health, safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols.
Proficiency in using medical equipment and devices.
Competency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
Proficient in English (IELTS 7.0 or equivalent).
Additional Information:
This is a bank position, with shifts available on an ad hoc basis to cover busy periods, sickness, or leave.
Applicants must be willing to undergo an enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service or Disclosure Scotland.
