Job Description/Overview:
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Level 2 Qualified Nursery Assistant to join the Little Dragons Nursery team. This role involves providing care and learning support for children aged 6 months to school age in a stimulating and caring environment. You’ll assist in developmental reviews and support the Early Years Foundation Stage framework while maintaining a safe and nurturing atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide care and stimulation tailored to each child’s needs.
Support the Nursery Nurse in creating and implementing educational activities.
Maintain accurate records in compliance with the EYFS Statutory Framework.
Engage parents as active partners in their children’s development.
Contribute to the daily management of the nursery, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 2 in Childcare or equivalent qualification.
Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
Experience:
Experience working in childcare settings is preferred.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Organizational skills to manage records and activities effectively.
