Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Public Relations Specialist to manage and elevate our brand in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of the crypto landscape and excellent media relations skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our public image, crafting compelling narratives, and building strong media relationships to increase our visibility in the rapidly evolving crypto world.
Key Responsibilities
- Media Relations: Develop and nurture relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets in the cryptocurrency, blockchain, and fintech industries.
- Content Development: Create press releases, media kits, blog posts, and articles to communicate key company developments. Work with content and marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging across platforms.
- Thought Leadership: Develop strategies for securing speaking opportunities, interviews, and events for company executives.
- Crisis Management: Manage the company’s reputation during proactive and reactive situations. Prepare communication strategies for crises, including drafting statements and coordinating media responses.
- Event Management: Identify opportunities for company participation in crypto/blockchain events, conferences, and panels. Assist executives with public speaking preparations.
- Social Media & Digital PR: Align PR efforts with social media strategies to ensure a unified brand voice across all digital platforms. Monitor media coverage and analyze PR campaign effectiveness.
- Internal Communications: Support internal communications, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and keeping employees informed through newsletters and announcements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of PR experience, preferably within the cryptocurrency, fintech, or technology sectors.
- Proven track record of developing successful media strategies and securing positive coverage.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of the cryptocurrency landscape, including blockchain, DeFi, NFTs, and industry trends.
- Discretion in handling sensitive information and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater) and social media platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing relationships with crypto or blockchain-focused media outlets.
- Experience in fast-paced, start-up, or media environments.
- Knowledge of SEO and content marketing best practices.
