Job Description/Overview:
Community Horizons is seeking a compassionate caregiver for a husband-wife duo in a private home setting. This role offers flexible hours with no heavy lifting or mechanical equipment usage, making it ideal for those seeking extra income while providing meaningful support.
Key Responsibilities:
Feed and care for cats, including changing the litter box
Handle garbage disposal and weekly trips to the dump
Light housekeeping, including cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, and floors
Vegetable preparation and laundry assistance
Accompany members to grocery stores, the YMCA, or errands
Assist with showering and enjoy games like checkers or cards with members
Schedule:
Saturday and Sunday, 9 AM – 1 PM, with potential for additional hours
Salary:
Supported Home Care: $16.32/hour
Personal Care: $15.00/hour
Qualifications:
Entry-level; no prior experience required
Favorable background check
Must be 18 years or older
Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license required
Additional Information:
This role is under the self-directed program, allowing caregivers to work directly with clients and manage their schedules collaboratively. The position is not agency-based, enabling personalized, one-on-one care.
