What to Expect
As the Social Media Specialist, you will play a key role in building and engaging the Hudson’s Bay online community. You’ll execute and support social media strategies across platforms, create engaging content, and use data-driven insights to grow our audience and drive brand engagement. Your ability to tell compelling stories and your expertise in social media trends will help elevate Hudson’s Bay’s presence across multiple platforms.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute strategies for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Manage the social media content calendar, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align with business priorities.
  • Create and contribute to relatable, engaging content, including video production and “sharable” captions.
  • Publish and monitor social media posts, tracking and analyzing their effectiveness.
  • Provide detailed reports and insights on social media performance, including recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay updated on social and digital trends to inspire innovation within the organization.
  • Support on-site events with social media integration as needed.
  • Collaborate with the customer care team to address customer issues via social platforms and maintain a positive community experience.
  • Perform proactive and reactive social listening to track brand health, competitor activity, and key topics.
  • Monitor and engage with the community through comments and direct messages.

What You’ll Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in social media marketing within an agency or in-house team.
  • Proven ability to create exceptional and engaging social media content.
  • Experience using metrics to measure and optimize content performance.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of social media, tech, and content trends across platforms.
  • Experience with tools like Emplifi, Sprout Social, or Dash Hudson is an asset.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • A collaborative mindset, enthusiasm, and a proactive, can-do attitude.
