Job Description/Overview:
St Martins Residential Home is seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and reliable Night Carer to join our team. We are a small, modern care home undergoing a major refurbishment with input from residents and staff to create a warm, welcoming environment. Our focus is on providing person-centered care tailored to the individual needs of our residents. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the day-to-day running of the service.
Maintain adequate staffing levels to meet service users’ needs.
Ensure compliance with company policies and Care Quality Commission standards.
Complete documentation and share updates through handovers and communication logs.
Liaise effectively with families, health professionals, and multi-disciplinary teams.
Supervise and guide staff, providing proactive support and ensuring effective teamwork.
Conduct regular reviews and updates to service users’ care plans.
Administer medication in line with policies and procedures, including stock management.
Ensure smooth operations in the absence of the management team, seeking guidance when necessary.
Qualifications:
NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care (minimum requirement).
Minimum of two years of experience working in a care setting.
Strong leadership skills within a care environment.
Experience:
Proven experience in care settings with demonstrated leadership and supervision abilities.
Skills:
Positive, professional attitude.
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Salary: £12.00 per hour
Hours: Full-Time (42 hours per week, flexible working pattern required)
