Job Description/Overview
As a Care Associate at HNF, you will support clients by assisting with their daily living activities, implementing care plans, and ensuring a safe and hygienic environment. This role requires compassion, teamwork, and dedication to providing holistic care.
Key Responsibilities
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living such as feeding, showering, toileting, and transfers. Carry out individual care plans as part of a multidisciplinary team. Facilitate individual and group activities as planned by clinicians or supervisors.
Prepare meals and meet dietary needs, including cutting, blending, and reheating food. Monitor vital signs and provide medication reminders. Escort clients to and from the center or other destinations.
Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of premises, equipment, and furniture. Safeguard and document center records properly. Perform housekeeping duties, including waste disposal and cleaning. Comply with audits, center policies, and training requirements.
Provide cross-coverage to colleagues or other centers when needed.
Qualifications
WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) or equivalent certification in healthcare.
Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare, with experience in elderly care being advantageous.
Skills
Compassionate and patient-centered care approach. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Basic knowledge of healthcare practices and safety protocols.
