Job Summary:
Alghanim Industries is seeking a dedicated Buying Coordinator to support the category buying team in achieving excellence in customer proposition and results delivery. The role involves assisting with assortment development, managing stock, handling product content, and ensuring the timely execution of price changes and promotions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the category buying team in developing assortments, including brands, products, and agencies, to ensure freshness and improve profitability.
- Create new SKUs with accurate and compelling content secured from suppliers and ensure internal system inputs are prepared accurately.
- Implement system price changes and promotions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review stock and sales data, maintaining relevant PSI reports to generate purchase orders for approval.
- Coordinate with the merchandising team for regular planogram updates, ensuring effective display principles and selling of phase-out inventory.
- Ensure marketing briefing content is accurate and obtain sign-off from the marketing team on all core assets for products.
- Conduct competitor price benchmarking through daily monitoring of social media, relevant assets, and store visits.
- Visit core stores and competitors weekly, circulating actionable follow-up insights to the team.
- Collaborate with the online team and category team to ensure the category is accurately stocked and merchandised.
- Assist the buying team with follow-up on marketing proof of execution.
- Prepare relevant store communications for new launches, key promotions, SOP circulation, pricing, and bundle memo distribution.
Candidate Requirements:
- 2–4 years of experience in business or category management, or a recent graduate with high potential.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market needs and generate actionable plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of SAP or Business Objects is preferred.
- Passion for consumer electronics is a plus.
- Strong relationship-building skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with a superior drive and follow-through.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
