Role Overview
The Social Media Manager will manage the Stratford Festival’s online community and social media channels to promote audience engagement, ticket sales, and memberships. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Content & Editorial, you will create content, manage social media strategies, and analyze campaign performance to increase engagement and brand awareness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic social media marketing plans across various channels, tailoring strategies for each platform.
  • Create and curate content daily to engage audiences and attract new followers.
  • Manage and grow the Stratford Festival’s social community, ensuring a unique and engaging experience for followers.
  • Monitor social channels 24/7, including weekends and holidays, responding to comments and engaging with audiences.
  • Collaborate with departments like Education, Archives, and EDI to establish strong social media plans for their initiatives.
  • Track, analyze, and report on social media campaigns, identifying trends and reporting KPIs to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the graphic design and video teams to create content for social platforms.
  • Coordinate and host Opening Night activations, including influencers and publications.
  • Manage the annual social media budget.
  • Use video and photography skills to capture events and support content strategies.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Humanities, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of social media or marketing experience.
  • Excellent copywriting skills and the ability to create marketing/advertising content.
  • Passion for theatre and the arts, with knowledge of the Stratford Festival preferred.
  • Proficient with digital and social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
  • Familiarity with content management tools like Hootsuite and Airtable, and social ad platforms like Facebook Ads Manager and Google Ads.
  • Capable of handling social media communication effectively and tactfully.
  • Experience with video editing tools like Capcut and Canva is an asset.
