Position Overview
Canaccord Genuity is seeking a data-driven and strategic Manager, Social Media & Brand Marketing to join our team in Vancouver or Toronto. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, you will lead the development and execution of marketing initiatives to enhance brand awareness and support client acquisition efforts. This role will focus on driving our brand’s success through innovative digital marketing campaigns and multi-channel strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials (online and offline).
- Develop strategies to strengthen and differentiate the Canaccord Genuity brand in the marketplace.
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure strong visual identity across all campaigns.
- Manage PR initiatives and reputation management through proactive and reactive communications.
- Lead the development and optimization of digital marketing campaigns, including social media and select SEM activities (Paid search/PPC/SEO).
- Create engaging copy for social media ads and organic content to enhance brand storytelling and engagement.
- Manage marketing budgets and track performance to meet business goals.
- Identify and test new high-potential channels to elevate brand presence.
- Develop growth strategies aligned with business objectives using customer data, research, and industry trends.
- Lead content strategies for CG Canada’s social media channels and oversee content creation.
- Own campaign reporting and track digital media performance progress.
- Stay current with industry trends and competitor activities to refine demand generation strategies.
- Act as a social media consultant for advisor teams, providing strategies and trend updates.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in B2B and B2C digital marketing, with expertise in social media strategy.
- Strong proficiency in A/B testing platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Basic technical understanding of HTML and solid SEO skills.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a data-driven approach.
- Experience with website analytics tools, Salesforce CRM, and social media analytics platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Proven track record in executing paid campaigns across LinkedIn, TikTok, Meta, X, and Pinterest.
- Outstanding copywriting skills for social media and digital content creation.
- Hands-on experience managing large-scale online acquisition campaigns (not agency-managed).
- A proactive approach to learning and professional development, with strong curiosity and drive for results.
