We’re looking for a Junior Marketing Operations Specialist to support and optimize our marketing initiatives.
About the Role
As a Junior Marketing Operations Specialist, you will collaborate with our global marketing team to support email production, social media scheduling, event promotion, and reporting. You’ll contribute to engaging the world’s top software engineers and shaping the future of software development through educational platforms and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Email Marketing: Create and schedule emails using tools like SendGrid, manage email lists, and conduct pre-launch testing.
- Social Media Management: Schedule and monitor posts, analyze performance metrics, and provide insights.
- Event Promotion Support: Submit event listings to external platforms and ensure timely updates.
- Photo Management: Organize and maintain post-event photo albums.
- Event Takedown Support: Ensure promotional materials are removed after events.
- Reporting & Tracking: Update weekly reports and manage budget trackers.
What You Bring
- Basic knowledge of email marketing platforms (e.g., SendGrid) and social media scheduling tools (e.g., SproutSocial).
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Slides, Docs).
- Basic HTML experience for minor email template updates.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Basic understanding of marketing principles and data analytics.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and budget tracking.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Eagerness to learn and thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Requirements
- Work as an independent contractor.
- Core working hours overlap (9 am – 1 pm EST).
- Reliable, high-speed internet (minimum download: 25 Mbps, upload: 6 Mbps).
- A home office setup with a newer computer (no older than 3 years).
- Ability to travel internationally 1-2 times per year for conferences and team meetings (travel expenses covered).
- Valid passport and ability to travel to the USA or Europe.
