We are looking for skilled writers with fluency in English to help train generative AI models through an engaging and flexible freelance opportunity.
Position Overview: As an AI Prompt Writer (Tier 1), you will work remotely to assist in training AI models by reading, ranking, and revising responses generated by AI systems. This role is reading and writing-intensive, offering flexible hours so you can work whenever it suits you.
Responsibilities:
- Read English text and rank responses generated by AI models.
- Write and rewrite prompts and responses, which may include research and fact-checking.
- Assess the factual accuracy and relevance of AI-generated text.
- Provide feedback to improve the quality and performance of AI models.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a professional writer or editor.
- Enrolled in or completed an associate degree or higher in a writing-related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Strong writing style with excellent English-language spelling, grammar, and reasoning skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to clearly explain the strengths and weaknesses of a given piece of text.
Payment:
- Pay rates for core project work by English writing experts in the US average USD $15 per hour.
- Rates vary depending on expertise, skills assessment, location, project needs, and other factors. For example, higher rates may be offered to PhDs.
- Certain projects may offer incentive payments, and lower rates may apply during initial project onboarding or overtime phases.
Additional Information:
- This is a 1099 contract opportunity on the Outlier.ai platform. As a freelance opportunity, we do not offer internships, sponsorship, or employment.
- You must be authorized to work in your country of residence. If you are an international student, you may be eligible to join Outlier if you are on a visa (consult with your tax or immigration advisor).
