We are looking for a passionate and innovative Social Media Manager to join our team and elevate the Open Farm brand.
Position Overview
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing creative content strategies to drive brand awareness and engage with our growing audience. This role will lead organic social channels, optimize content, and work closely with various teams to amplify the Open Farm mission. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, cultural awareness, and a strong understanding of social media trends and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage organic social channels including strategy optimization, content creation, publishing, testing, and reporting.
- Oversee the development of social media content calendars in alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with influencers and creators to incorporate user-generated content (UGC) and expand brand reach.
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as Impact, Innovation, and Sales to amplify Open Farm’s mission and values.
- Develop creative campaign concepts with the Creative team, ensuring alignment with brand voice and cultural relevance.
- Utilize data, insights, and social media algorithms to inform content strategies and engage with trending moments.
- Work with the Community Manager to ensure optimal response times, flag high-risk messages or videos, and drive community insights into strategy.
Qualifications
- 4-6 years of experience in social media management, preferably with an established CPG brand.
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing a team.
- Expert knowledge of social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Reddit.
- Experience with third-party social media tools such as Dash Hudson.
- Strong attention to detail, proofreading skills, and the ability to adapt writing to suit the brand’s voice and tone.
- Proven ability to create viral content, including video creation and editing.
- Experience managing social media accounts with 200k+ followers is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and respond to cultural moments in a timely manner.
- Passion for pets and the pet industry is a plus.
