Job Description/Overview:
The Muiriosa Foundation is seeking Social Care Workers to join its team in the Westmeath Residential Services. Social Care Workers will support individuals in developing independent living skills, promoting community inclusion, and enhancing personal health and wellbeing. The role involves working on a rotating roster, including day shifts, weekends, waking nights, and sleepovers. This position provides an opportunity to make a positive impact by supporting and encouraging individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism to lead fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Support individuals with independent living skills and community integration.
Promote health and wellbeing for residents in residential services.
Encourage, motivate, and assist individuals in leading fulfilling lives.
Perform waking night duties, sleepovers, and other shifts as required.
Work independently in residents’ homes and be adaptable to changing work locations and priorities.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Social Care/Applied Social Studies in Social Care (Level 7).
CORU registration or in the process of registering.
Knowledge of HIQA Standards.
Valid full manual driving license in Ireland.
Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism preferred.
Strong organizational, logistical, and IT skills are an advantage.
