Position: Clinical Support Worker (Band 3)

Job Description/Overview:
The East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust is seeking compassionate and dedicated Clinical Support Workers to join the ward areas team. The role involves providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, adhering to Trust policies and values of Include, Respect, and Improve.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicating with patients and providing bedside care
Assisting with washing, dressing, and feeding patients
Taking patients’ physiological observations
Making beds, cleaning bed areas, and serving meals
Supporting a Registered Nurse or Midwife in daily tasks
Working various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications:
Essential: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Math
Desirable: Care Certificate, Health and Social Care Level 2
Experience:
Desirable: Previous experience in healthcare or care work, and working with the general public
Skills:
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Time management and organizational skills
Basic IT skills or willingness to develop
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and escalate issues when necessary

Additional Information:
Salary: £24,071 – £25,674 per annum (NHS AfC: Band 3)
Applicants are required to undertake a 16-month apprenticeship and complete an online diagnostic assessment of Maths and English
