Job Description/Overview:
Cleveland Clinic London is looking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant to join the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary of up to £32,000 depending on experience. The successful candidate will work up to 37.5 hours per week, with shift patterns including long days and nights, across weekdays and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
Take and record basic observations and assist patients with hygiene and nutritional needs.
Perform tests (e.g., urinalysis, blood glucose) and notify nursing caregivers of any changes in patients’ conditions.
Use the EPIC and Windows computer systems to access and update patient records.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives for the ward, ensuring KPI targets are met.
Work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality, effective care.
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 or higher; Care Certificate.
Experience in acute care settings is essential.
Critical thinking skills and the ability to work autonomously.
Ability to work under pressure in a stressful environment.
Experience:
Previous experience in an acute care or critical care setting is preferred.
Proven track record of achieving objectives in clinical roles.
Skills:
Strong communication skills.
Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care.
