Job Description/Overview:
Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants to provide support to a cheerful young boy with complex care needs. This part-time role, based in Bootle, Liverpool, requires providing one-on-one care throughout the night. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a supportive environment and be enthusiastic about making a positive difference in the life of a child. Responsibilities include personal care, medication administration, and moving and handling.
The client enjoys interacting, listening to music, story time, and massages and looks forward to family trips to Butlins, where caregivers are encouraged to join.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care and assist with medication administration
Help with moving and handling tasks
Support the client’s preferred activities, such as listening to music and story time
Assist with family trips and outings
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 months of prior care experience
Experience in medication administration and personal care
Experience:
3 months in a caregiving role
Experience with epilepsy management, challenging behavior, or oxygen administration is desirable but not required
Skills:
Friendly, engaging, and patient
Ability to work overnight shifts and create a positive environment
Driver Required: No
