Job Description/Overview:
We are hiring for roles at our community hospitals in Westview, Tenterden, and Hawkhurst (TN18 4PU), focusing on patient rehabilitation and recovery. As a Healthcare Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in aiding patients on their journey to independence, providing in-patient support alongside a dedicated team. This role includes comprehensive training in areas such as patient rehabilitation, IV administration, wound care, and end-of-life care.
Key Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively within a team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Support the creation and implementation of care plans.
Monitor care quality and provide constructive feedback.
Participate in daily safety meetings, board rounds, and use EPMA for medication administration.
Ensure patients have a positive experience and assist them in achieving greater independence.
Qualifications:
Relevant Level 2 qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF in care or equivalent).
Functional Skills Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE grade A-C in English and Maths or equivalent).
Experience:
Prior experience in a healthcare or social care setting.
Community healthcare experience (desirable).
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
Ability to adapt to changes, use initiative, and manage time effectively.
Moderate IT skills.
Personal Attributes:
Empathetic, supportive, and adaptable to patient needs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
