Job Description/Overview:
As a Painter at Residence Inn in Kuwait City, you will be responsible for ensuring that the hotel’s maintenance and aesthetic standards are met. Your key responsibilities will include responding to repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and handling various repairs and painting tasks. You will also manage tools, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are in optimal condition. Your duties will involve minor plumbing, electrical repairs, and other essential maintenance tasks. Your goal is to maintain the hotel’s appearance and functionality while adhering to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues.
Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical equipment.
Carry out surface preparation, painting, drywall, and wood trim repairs.
Replace light bulbs, air conditioning filters, and other guestroom items.
Perform basic plumbing tasks such as unclogging drains and toilets.
Test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components and general equipment.
Ensure cleanliness and safety by adhering to company policies and safety protocols.
Move, lift, carry, and handle equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Perform repairs and maintenance on landscaping, sprinklers, and general building facilities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Basic computer skills for inputting schedules and temperature settings.
Experience:
Some experience in general maintenance, exterior, and interior surface preparation and painting is preferred.
Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
Skills:
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to perform physical tasks and work with various maintenance tools.
Good communication skills to liaise with other staff and guests.
