Job Description/Overview:
8726698 Canada Inc is seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team in Edmonton, AB. The successful candidate will operate trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring the safety and compliance of vehicle standards and cargo.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods
Inspect and oversee vehicle conditions, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage
Conduct brake adjustments and perform emergency roadside repairs as needed
Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, managing all aspects of the vehicle’s condition
Handle payment transactions for goods and services
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
Tarp cargo to ensure safety and security during transit
Maintain communication with central dispatch and perform routine preventive maintenance
Qualifications:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Licenses: Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
Experience:
Experience is an asset, but not required
