Job Summary
At Marriott International, we offer our guests a memorable and unique experience, starting from their first interaction on social media to their time spent at our hotel. As a Social Media Manager at W Dubai – The Palm, you will guide the hotel’s social media presence, creating engaging content and fostering connections with the local community and global audience. You will utilize your knowledge of social media trends, influencers, and local market dynamics to drive hotel and brand awareness, enhance engagement, and support business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a social media strategy to align with Marriott’s brand guidelines and hotel objectives.
  • Manage daily social media messaging, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other platforms.
  • Create and maintain a social media content calendar in support of brand goals.
  • Develop unique content (posts, photos, videos, infographics) and leverage user-generated content.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local influencers, bloggers, and media for social media value.
  • Generate buzzworthy ideas and drive engagement for hotel events through social media campaigns.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and opportunities, and interact with the online community.
  • Coordinate paid social media marketing campaigns in collaboration with external agencies.
  • Produce monthly analytics reports, track trends, and provide insights to drive strategy adjustments.
  • Maintain adherence to Marriott’s social media policies and ensure brand consistency.
  • Provide tours of the hotel, showcasing innovative design and technology as part of brand engagement.
  • Support the hotel’s sales strategy through social media content, including special offers and promotions.

Candidate Profile

  • Education:
  • 2-year degree in Public Relations, Communications, Digital Marketing, Journalism, or related field with 4+ years of experience in Digital Marketing, Communications, or Social Media; OR
  • 4-year degree with 2+ years of experience in Digital Marketing, Communications, or Social Media.
    • Experience: Proven experience managing social media presence for brands, particularly in the hospitality or tourism industry.
  • Skills:
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices for social media.
  • Expertise in using social media platforms and analytics tools.
