Job Description/Overview
As a Residential Senior Carer at Barchester, you’ll address the diverse needs of our residents to ensure quality, person-centered care. You will lead a team of care staff, handling training, supervision, and delegating duties on shifts. This role involves supporting medication administration, reviewing and updating care plans, and coordinating with healthcare providers and residents’ families. The position requires a dedication to creating a warm and welcoming environment that respects the dignity and preferences of each resident.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of care staff, including training and delegating tasks
Administer and manage medication orders
Review and update resident care plans and risk assessments
Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and residents’ families
Maintain a compassionate and dignified care environment
Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care
Experience in a residential care setting
Proven leadership and decision-making abilities
Experience
Previous experience in a caregiving role, particularly in residential care, and experience leading a team.
Skills
Strong leadership and team-management skills
Compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to resident-centered care
